Hi, Aunt Nicole!
I saw your picture on the computer today. I can't wait to learn to read so I can read your books!

~Addison , SC~ August 29, 2008

Oh my gosh, just finished reading TtW! So intense, loved the pattern of the characters writing their own chapters. Stirred up a lot of feelings in me regarding my own mom's death from cancer 4-1/2 years ago, especially Alice's reference at the end to "magical thinking", the "what if" your loved one could come back. Heart-wrenching. Thank you for this wonderful book. LOVED the twist at the end ------! Thank you.

I would like to know the price for the painting Sweetgrass Weaver.

Thank You,
Henry Luther

Just finished Trouble the Water and wanted to say "HOORAH!" Loved your interweaving pure Lowcountry folklore with black and white women finding strength in one another. Wished I could have recommended it to everyone I know going to the beach this year. A fabulous read in the sand.

Thank you so much for your comment to our branch library's blog, www.johnsislandlibrary.blogspot.com. Our book club, Sea Islands Book Club, met on July 15th to discuss The Spirit of Sweetgrass. We would have loved to have had you join us, and we hope your trip out of town went well. Everyone in the club loved The Spirit of Sweetgrass, and a few members wanted me to pass along their comments to you:
"I love this book. I can truly relate to Essie Mae; we are the same age." Marie Jones
"The Spirit of Sweetgrass is a delight to read. Thank you for introducing us to Essie Mae." Suzanne Bangston
"The Spirit of Sweetgrass is an enjoyable novel. I fell in love with Essie Mae." Loretta J. Saunders
"Your book is incredible. I enjoyed it so very, very much." Cathelene Buggs

You are certainly welcome to visit our book club at any time. Best wishes for your continued publishing success!
